As with any guitar I changed the strings to my liking.then there is the break in period. It's a dream to play, after all it's a les paul. Alot of feedback shuns the baked maple frettboard over rosewood and yes it's a different feel and sound but it's wonderful. It has its place right with the best . I enjoy playing it. Most of the time it is hard to put down but then so is every les paul I own. It's not really a true 50s, I have a 56, the neck is like a baseball bat, love it though... different hearts beat on different strings... there you have it whether baked maple, rosewood, or ebony, they are all les pauls .. simply wonderful.
Very happy to own my first Gibson Les Paul. High quality instrument all around. Neck is not too big, just perfect (my Epiphone LP PlusTop Pro is wider!!). Great sound from P-90s. Nothing like it !!

This is a Gibson. It plays like a Gibson. It sounds like a Gibson. I looks almost like the more expensive Les Pauls'. It feels like a Gibson Les Paul. It is a great buy for a third to a fourth of the price of the "big boys". All players should own at least one!
I bought this guitar because it was a low-cost option to get a Les Paul with the famous P-90 pickups in a great finish. It looks and plays the part of an original 1950s Les Paul, but for a small fraction of the cost. All the quality fit, finish, and playability you would expect from a much higher-priced Les Paul model. Love the chrome hardware and the sunburst finish options! Completely satisfied with this product.
I have dreamed of owning a Les Paul for years but didn't have $2000+ to spend on my hobby. The Studio guitars seemed unimpressive aesthetically, so when I saw an LP with a burst finish and P-90s for the price of a studio, it was a no-brainer. I made a good choice. It is good looking, sounds great, and I don't have to baby it like I would the more expensive guitars with the high-end finish. I am completely satisfied with the look, sound, and feel of this guitar. Thanks!
