The author has done a good work on the subject of the War of 1812. The writing was indeed well researched and inclusive of maps and of illustrations in center of book. This edition could have included an appendix with names of principals and or statistical data such as casualty figures etc. This book fills a void in my military history library. Again highly recommended.
