This little red bottle rocket is a dang near perfect low cost alternative for traveling gigs or as a backup guitar. With new pickups that are hotter than a firecracker and as mellow as a midnight stroll on the beach - without turning into muddy waters. This particular example has great fit and finish "The Bullet" brings home the tone most players will want for blues to hard rock, maybe even metal with certain amps. While speaking of metal it is noteworthy to mention the hardware is all well plated with durable bright nickel, but diminutive (smaller) in stature when compared to my other Squiers. Do yourself a favor, stop dreaming and start playing - a Squier in my humble opinion is the best place to start. Pros: Fit & Finish Strong Pickups and good Tone range Self locking Tuners Lightweight Great neck for smaller hands Rosewood fingerboard plays fast and sounds a bit deep and dark - which I adore Frets are well fitted Bargain price back of neck is contoured nicely to meet the body at the bolt on area. Cons: 21 playable frets short vibrato arm (Fender calls it a tremolo) small headstock - sustain not so good neck is almost too small - it will spoil moving to other guitars such as a Gibson "D" shaped neck Tone range is GREAT - but a bit tricky to dial in (typical Strat) This Bullet hit the Bullseye! A bargain - I highly recommend it!Read full review

Being the bassist I am, I wanted to start some 6-string and since it's been 6 months of owning this guitar, i have decided it was worth the money, or course I will upgrade soon being used to a $500 bass is a big difference, but I defiantly recommend it

I've bought 8-10 of these guitars for charity auctions.I have performers sign them, then auction the guitar to raise funds for the charity or non-profit venue. The name is well known, many of the artists are using the brand so a bidder knows he's getting a decent instrument.Overall,it's a guitar that performs well in it's price range.A great beginners guitar or a conversation piece on the wall.
It feels very good to play I put a new pick guard and pickups and tone pots in it sound's really nice.
