Wow, I've waited a LONG time to play these games again. In order to play you must have a compatible joystick. I would highly recommend the logitech attack 3. Also, your PC must be running Vista or Windows 7, reason being, XP does not have compatibilty mode. Once you install the games send the X-Wing and Tie Fighter .exe files to the desktop to create a short cut. Then right click on the icon. Click "properties" click "compatability" at the top of the window. Select "Windows 98" and 640 x 480screen resolution. Presto...a trip down memory lane, and you can run it full screen in high resolution. Looks better now than it day back in the day. One note of caution, several people are advertising this game and sending out the old DOS versions, which to me a completely worthless because they won't run on a modern system, so make sure your getting the real deal. eBay should make it mandatory for all people selling software to simply list the "system requirements" for software. For this game it's Windows 95 reqiured Windows 98 compatable. It runs very well on my Vista machine.Read full review
Strategy guide with a story. Very unique in the game you play as Farlander but you really dont know that. In the guide it conveys the game-play strategy and the story. It is a great star wars story right up there with the x-wing series of books (not part of that series. This is a standalone). There is a little of everything in here love, lose, light side, dark side, and original story with mainstream characters. Great book for any combat flight enthusiasts and star wars fans.
