After some decent films with moments of brilliance, visual visionary Brian DePalma returns in full force with the wildest cinematic ride of the year. It is a different kind of film, even for DePalma, it is a film with no inhibitons. The plot is insanely complicated, the dialogue at times funny, at times sinister, the images always amazing, and the characters devilishly evil. But that’s the point. It cannot be viewed as a “film” it is entertainment in the purest sense. It is a film where you must put reason aside, but not thought, and you must let it play you. The result is nothing short of thrilling.
