Book: The Table Talk Of Martin Luther Martin Luther was the Protestant reformation's most prominent leader and considered one of the best Bible teachers of all times. He says himself of the Bible," the Bible is God's Word and book I prove thus: All things that have been, and are, in the world, and the manner of their being, are described in the first book of Moses on the creation; even as God made and shaped the world, so does it stand to this day." This 224 page soft cover book is a compilation of excerpts on his teachings from noted taken by his colleagues & students. Thankfully for us some of these people took notes on his speaking engagements & personal conversations. Learn of Luther's comments on The Bible, the church & life in general. One quote I like in particular is, "No greater mischief can happen to a Christian people, than to have God's Word taken from them, or falsified, so that they no longer have it pure and clear. God grant we and our descendants be not witnesses of such a calamity." The book reveals much of the personality & wisdom of the great teacher. The text of this book is based on the English translation by William Hazlitt. Great addition to any library. Good learning material for students of the Bible or the Great Reformation.Read full review
