I don't love books only women. If I did love a book however, it would be the Focal Encyclopedia of Photography. This book is jam packed with information that is an excellent guide for amateur and professional photographers alike. I have been involved in serious photography since 1973 and purchased the original version at that time. It has been with me until a recent move, when it came up missing. I then, replaced it with a 1996 version and have enjoyed it immensely. The only down-side to this manual is that it is not updated regularly as technology leaps forward. I believe that anyone interested in amateur or professional photography should have one of these in their arsenal of photographic literature. Second to the Internet for information, you won't find a better source... Ciao, Sil
