In this day of tell-all books, it's refreshing to find someone who honors the trust placed in her. Peggy Grande was Ronald Reagan's executive assistant for 10 post-presidential years. Fresh out of college when she first went to work for him, her book is an insightful, frequently entertaining picture of a remarkable man. She is such an admirer, the only negative thing she has to say about him involve a questionable color choice in a sweater and a poor eye for art (once). Sometimes the heavy praise is a bit much but the book does offer a different and interesting view. Worth the read if you're a Reagan fan.

This is a well-written, engaging biography of the Reagans written over ten years by someone who admired the President as a student at Pepperdine, became his intern, and went on to serve as his executive assistant. The Reagans love her family: her husband Greg plays golf with the President, and their children are welcomed into Ron and Nancy's home often. The middle is full of color pictures the author, Nancy Grande, took. I have already give away the first copy, bought another one, and talk about the contrast between that godly, articulate President and our current one with all my friends.

I loved this affectionate insight into President Reagan's post office life.
