What a great cd and movie!....We waited and waited for the movie to premiere on The Disney Channel, and as parents we were looking forward to the show as much as our kids!! Our son with a gift card bought the High School Muscial cd and now they listen to it relentlously....The cd can interact with the Disney web site for info on songs, lyrics,vidoes, promos and news about Highschool Musical stuff. The kids love to play the music so much that now even I enjoy and know the words!!!!Great songs with good lessons, great music--upbeat and fun! Kids will absolutely love this cd, and so will parents. If you are looking for music that you would want your kids to listen to....look no further!!Great movie too!! The DVD for the movie we heard will be available for purchase sometime in June 2006. We have watched the movie on Disney Channel many times, even DVRd it so we can watch it again until it comes out on DVD. Bought the CD this weekend and it immediately went into the car CD player. We love the whole thing. This is a CD that is great for the whole family, and I'm sure will get played on long trips. Love the theme behind the movie & the songs, it's especially good for Upper Elementary & Middle Schoolers who are just having to start dealing with clicks, stereotyping and venturing outside your normal groups. I would recommend this to anyone with a tween/preteen, might even start up some good conversations.
This is by far the best Disney Channel Movie ever, and this soundtrack CD captures the spirit of the movie perfectly. One to be played over and over again! As soon as I saw the movie, I knew it would be a HUGE hit and bought the CD. Absolutely breathtaking performance by all of the cast, especially the main stars! The "playmaker" here did an **outstanding** job at putting all the available talents to work and displaying the best entertainment combination to come along in a long, long time! I can't wait for High School Musical 2 to come out!
If you're looking for entertainment for the ENITRE FAMILY this is it! Disney has made magic again with a gem that 3 year olds & 60 year olds will both enjoy. Of course on eBay you can get a great price on High School Musical so what are you waiting for? Stop reading reviews and grab it now! :-)
I'm a big fan of the Disney Channel, I've watched it all my life (I'm 17). I have to say that this is the best movie Disney has ever produced. It is amazing from start to finish. It is the highest rated orginal production Disney has ever had, and they're already working on a sequel. After watching the movie five or six times, I absolutely had to have the soundtrack. I finally got to Wal-Mart and bought a copy (the last one). The soundtrack features ALL of the songs from the movie, a song that wasn't on the movie, and karaokee versions of Start of Something New and Breaking Free. All the lyrics are included. I went to a BPA State competition back in March and I had my iPod stereo going with rap music on. I had it on shuffle, and "Breaking Free", my favorite HSM song came on. I was so embarassed, but EVERYONE knew the words. So it's not just for little kids, all people of all ages can enjoy this.Read full review
