G.I. Joe is a Special Forces unit that is formed from the best of the best. Whether it's on land, sea, or air, the team has an operative for any environment. As the name implies, Wet-Suit is a character who specializes in underwater missions. This character is at home fighting the forces of Cobra deep under the sea. He played a prominent role in the G.I. Joe: A Real American Hero cartoon series. He was also featured in a few issues of the Marvel Comics series of the same name. This Wet-Suit action figure was released in 1986 as part of Series Five. A quick look at the G.I. Joe Wet-Suit figure will show you that he is ready for an underwater mission. This G.I. Joe character wears a teal scuba suit that covers almost his entire body. His black boots protect his feet from both Cobra forces and marine predators. Sculpted on his hip is a non-removable pistol. His scuba suit features sculpted folds and wrinkles to emulate how the fabric would look in real life. His chest features a number of sculpted straps and devices. He features a painted symbol of his unit on the upper chest area. While his arms are bare, Hasbro sculpted a watch onto one his forearms. On his head is a non-removable scuba mask. Through the clear visor, you can see this G.I. Joe character's eyes. The scuba helmet on Wet-Suit is painted yellow to match the rest of his accessories.Like other G.I. Joe characters, Wet-Suit features over eight points of articulation. His head is on a swivel and can move from side to side. His shoulders and elbows are on hinges which allow Wet-Suit to hold his accessories in a realistic manner. Both of the hands on Wet-Suit are open, letting you place the accessories into either one. Wet-Suit is also compatible with all other accessories from other G.I. Joe figures. For example, his hands can comfortably hold the weapons from Storm Shadow or Cobra Commander. Wet-Suit uses an O-Ring to connect the top and bottom halves together. Like other G.I. Joe figures, he also features articulation in the knees and hips. This articulation lets Wet-Suit get into a sitting pose. You can use Wet-Suit in any G.I. Joe or Cobra vehicle. Like other G.I. Joe toys, Wet-Suit measures approximately 3.75 inches in height.Wet-Suit has seven accessories. This includes two black flippers that attach to the bottom of the figure's feet. The soles of this Wet Suit toy have a hole in each one. The peg in each flipper attaches securely to each hole. The stand for the figure uses similar technology. The stand has the character's name and the G.I. Joe logo. The orange scuba tanks attach onto the back of the Wet Suit toy. A small tube then connects the scuba mask to the tanks. This G.I. Joe character comes with a small yellow searchlight for him and other figures to hold, as well as the sea sled device, which lets him quickly search underwater for his foes.
