Ebay is the perfect place to shop- convenience, speed and great merchandise that almost always is less expensive than a item purchased in a traditional retail setting. I bought dvd collection of the Lucy Show for my sister- and it was the HIT of her Christmas. She has been wanting this particular series for quite some time and after searching local venues, I could not find it at all! Ebay had more than a dozen to choose from, and all at GREAT prices. I clicked, ordered, and before the weekend came, I had the dvd set at a fraction of what I would have paid from other online retailers. Curiosity, as much as anything else, caused me to buy this DVD. I was a little familiar with the series, but could not remember any thing particular about it, although I had seen it prior. It is a cute show, but if you are looking for some belly laughs, well, not going to happen here. It is not as good a series as I Love Lucy, but certainly better than The Lucy Show. I enjoyed Luci and Dezi Arnez more so than Lucy. There are a lot of old Hollywood stars, but you would have to be familiar with them to appreciate the humor. I enjoyed the collection, but I think it was about all I would want - it did not inspire me to purchase the entire series. If you are a Lucy fan, or a fan of that era TV shows, you will probably enjoy it.
