This book has designs that go the extra mile, they are not just a standard item with fancy yarn. The motifs are placed well in the garments to truly accent the item, no matter what yarn you use (fancy or rather plain yarn). The instructions on many of the items are definitely not for beginners. But, I am tired of overly simple patterns that would need fancy yarns just to make them look special. I was so excited after looking through the book when I received it that I wanted to start four different patterns right away. I partially came to my senses and only started two of the projects. I will keep on in the car for waiting times and one by the sofa for evening sessions. I would encourage anyone who is an experienced-beginner or above to give this book a look. The only thing I did not like was that the book did not give the listed yarns the number rating given by the American Yarn Assoc. But, since this is a fairly new rating system, the publishers may not have thought to include it. It would be nice to know the yarn rating so it would be easier to substitute other yarns if you can not buy the yarn they mention in the book.Read full review
