It is nice that Season 3 comes all together and one does not have to by two half seasons (like Season 2.0 and 2.5). This is an arch series where shows build upon each other and it is important to see the shows in sequence. Nonetheless the shows do stand pretty well on their own as well. The show is an interesting view of man vs. machine/man-machine. It shows the evolution of the characters and how one's concept of what is happening is not always the whole truth ... which is slowly revealed as the episodes move along. The series has an underlying concept of fate and that the events are prophetic. This does give one some idea of what is coming, but not specific enough to give too much away. In general, I am not a big fan of this aspect of the series because too many events are simply explained away as fate or prophecy ... some is OK but the show uses it as crutch. Nonetheless, the shows are interesting with some character development (more would have been better) but on the whole a good series and Season 3.0 is where one can see the end of the saga is just around the corner (that is Season 4).Read full review
I can’t wait to watch these tonight! BSG ROCKS! BSG is (was) the BEST SHOW on TV in a LONG TIME(not just science fiction either), amazing drama, complex character development, excellent effects, DARK, GRITTY, Complex and a whole lot more..... I was hooked on this show from the Mini-Series....I watched each episode every week and TIVO'd it if I was gonna miss an episode.... This DVD will be watched OVER AND OVER AGAIN....I can’t imagine another SCI FI show, or any other type of show even coming close to it in my life time. Not many TV shows hold my atttention for years at a time, I was a HUGE fan as a teen of the original series.....But this blows away the original. I imagine it will be shown in syndication for MANY YEARS TO COME....I imagine it will be a cult favorite as Star Trek was for many years in the future. A superior Cast, and GREAT character development set this show apart. EJO and MM are excellent actors with a well honed craft/style for this show....The rest of the cast put up GREAT PERFORMANCES AS WELL.... I think the show ended at the right time, go out while you are STILL ON TOP....It found a good completion, and will solidify BSG as one of the BEST TV SHOWS ever! GJ thebeautyRead full review
A continuation of the series. Somewhat slower paced than the first two seasons. Emphasis is on Baltar, and the "final five" clones.

What a powerful series! I love the whole thing and season 3 does not disappoint. The podcast by the series writer/ designer is excellent and informative.

I love Battlestar Galactica. I am not usually into scifi films or shows but ever since I saw the first episode of the first season I was pretty much hooked. In my opinion it's not the typical scifi show. It's the characters, the situations they are in, and the drama all together that make this show so good. Season 3 is no different then any other season, it is just as great, with new problems arising in there struggle to find Earth and defend off the Cylons. Most of the season is the Humans and Cylons living on New Caprica together, not in harmony. Without trying to give away too much the Cylons have taken over and are making the Humans life's hell. With no ides where Battlestar and Pegasus are, the Humans must find a way off this planet or it will surely lead to there demise.Read full review
