Remember this is a player's club. The small head would make you think it would be hard to hit. Not at all. First time I used it I shot my best round of the year. Didn't hit any practice balls before my round. And the stopping power, WOW.........Match them with the Rifle Project X shaft and you have a dynamic combination. Remember, this is not a beginner's club. 10 Handicap or less. They are a game changer
I bought these to update from my antique Titlist irons. They are much easier to hit and hit longer without losing the feel to turn the ball. So far, they are hitting about a club further, and have good feedback to your hands without being harsh. I have only played 108 holes with them so we are still "getting to know each other", but they are smooth hammers to hit accurately. The set was about a third the price of a normal set of game-improvement irons at your local big-box store, so one has to like the value!
This is a great set of clubs. I owned a set of X-16 irons in the past and the X-22's are a much improved X model. The most noticeable characteristic of this set is the incredibly solid feel of the entire set from wedge to 3 iron. The long irons get in the air easily and have a nice flight. The short irons seem to fly a little lower and are fairly consistent on yardage. These clubs perform great from fairway bunkers and rough as well as all fairway conditions. I would recommend these clubs to players looking for a clean look, solid feel and some game improvement. I shot my low round of the year (69) after one week of playing these irons.
Good description. the clubs hit great! I have been looking for clubs that are one half inch long, and these fit me perfectly. As far as the 1.5 degree flat goes, the irons still hit the ball sky high, when good contact is made. The clubs also allow me to shape my shots much more than before. Great Product.!!!!
I desperately needed to switch from "firm flex" graphite shafts to steel shafts for more consistency in direction. So I made some research to find the best clubs for me, with the budget in mind. Bought some x-22 tours in good shape, with 5.5 Project X Flightened. I'm very happy with these. They offer way enough forgiveness for me, I play 14 Hcp. Great distance, good feel, extremely consistent. Happy with the shaft flex as well, they give a comfortable feel. I tried some RAZRX Tours before going for the X-22 Tours, and Im definitely happy for saving $250.
