Genuine HP cartridges in original packaging that are still within their expiration period at a very competitive price. Had them within a day or two. It can't get better.

I originally wrote a review that this out of date XL cartridge was a great value but after only a month of light use my printer will not print black. When I shake the cartridge I can hear the sound of some liquid but nothing prints. The printer ink level shows empty. I know that I have not used up an XL cartridge full of ink in a month. Normally an XL cartridge lasts me 4 to 5 months. I probably average printing 5 pages a week if that. The cartridge was out of date in May 2015. I am going to try another out of date cartridge and see how long it lasts before I give up on them.

I use eight HP 6500 printer/scanners in my business. I use a lot of these cartridges. I stay with HP genuine ink cartridges because they print the most vivid colours and strongest blacks. I tried after-market ink cartridges and considering the quality and quantity of prints I got from them versus what I get from HP genuine ink cartridges means they're no bargain. Some, the printer won't even recognise, others leak into the works of the machine, making a horrible mess that's next to impossible to clean, and others work okay, but just okay. The number of prints from a after-market ink cartridge can vary wildly, and with some, the printer must be set to "best quality'' to get a reasonable quality print, and that means I'm using more ink-per-print for every print. For me, the after-market ink cartridges are a waste of money, paper, and time to get, at best, a mediocre result. Finally, I have found that HP ink cartridges with a 'warranty ends' date within two or so year’s work simply fine. Of course, the fresher the better, but for the price, the stale-dated cartridges are worth the money.Read full review

I so wanted this to work. Unfortunately, it is incompatible with my laptop. Printer absolutely would not accept it. Aside from that, when I opened it, the ink (yellow) leaked all over my hands. Again, not a major problem but perhaps a bit less ink injected into the cartridge might eliminate this. Had this worked it would have been the bomb!

Since I do a lot of printing, I decided to buy these to save money. Initially, after installation on my HP all-in-one, the ink level showed low and the color red would not print out at all. After a lot of research, I had to clean and then align the printhead, which corrected the problem with the red color, but the ink level still shows low, and according to what I'm reading from others, it will always do this. As far as the ink quality, its good enough for everyday printing, but if you need an exceptional print quality for graphics or photos, I would not recommend using re-manufactured cartridges. Also, to step up the quality, use the best quality setting on your printer.
