The blade and handle was covered in grease. I’m sure it started as just the blade but shipping and gravity won. I cleaned it and sharpened it as it came dull. I’m not happy with the head mount since it caps the handle. I can’t tell how well the handle is secure. I have yet to use it for anything other than decoration.

When the ax arrived, it had come thru the shipping box, and, tip was bent over! The head was installed crooked on the handle. Other than these faults, I found the materials to be of good quality, just bad assembly, and, shipping . Michael York
