Don't let this be your first book into trading. You should have a basis first. In other words, I don't see this as a beginners book. But once you've got some market acumen under your belt, this one will give you insights from someone who has figured things out. One of the worst things I found with books on trading is that they are like reference books. Too many indicators and too much detail, but not enough on what works and which to use. Vic's book is different. This is an opinionated book. He doesn't get too deep into the theory, but rather he tells you what he uses and what works for him. Don't let the age of the book fool you. Many of the constructs Vic mentions, like trend lines and other indicators he uses are still valid today.
