While I realize movie makers couldn't trapse about after WWII troops filming every aspect of every battle, I WAS expecting more vintage battle footage and not mostly ancient "talking heads" reviewing their experiences as young officers and enlisted men, and obviously reading from scripts on teleprompters. The Ike footage was interesting, and the liberation of Manila very moving, but sadly I found my attention wandering throughout most of the segments. Most are simpy tapes of an old TV show, "The Big Picture", which I vaguely remember from my childhood. Or were they old black and white movie shorts? I really can't recall. In any event the DVDs were not what I expected, and they will go in the next yard sale.
Bought it for an adopt a family program. Sorry guys. I knew one of the kids was interested in WOrld War two.
