It's very responsive and fits in your hands perfectly. I've been using it for various games and it works great. It's great for platforming games that require accuracy like in Batman and it's great for fighting games like Streets of Rage 2. It got here very fast and I'm happy with it. It's made with plastic so I'd suggest that you don't slam it down or slam the buttons. 5 stars out of 5 stars from me. It's way better than this Nintendo controller that I bought from a different company that's unresponsive at times which gets me killed a lot and I regret buying it.

This controller definitely looks like my favorite style of Sega Genesis controller, and works as soon as you plug it in. I was able to map the controls to my emulator in a few seconds and all was great. The only problem is that the D-pad is mounted very high up - I tend to press hard on buttons, so while pressing to one side it pressed down so far that it broke the plastic mount. The controller still works fine but it's very hard to play with a stub for a D-pad. I believe I can fix it if I just get a small bushing or a nut to superglue in there so the pad can't move as far. I don't think I'll bother sending it back for warranty because the next one will probably be built the same. TLDR; The controller itself works great and looks great, but won't stand up to heavy pressing or abuse.

The quality of the controller is poor, don't expect a high end controller like other third party controllers. The six buttons on the right are wobbly, the controller is light, the directional pad on the left is also wobbly, and is hard to press in the left. But it works well, my windows pc detect the controller, and I can play games well. But I am still disappointed of the quality of the controller. I also own the Retrobit generation console, which include two sega genesis/mega drive styled controllers just like this one, and in difference is that these controllers are solid, not perfect, but the quality is much better than this one. So I was expecting the same solid buttons, and quality. So overall don't buy this thing, try something else. Save your money, wait and buy the incoming retrobit controllers that are going to be released that are actual recreations of the original genesis ones.Read full review

It didn’t work for me on my android box and didn’t recognize all 6 buttons on it. I haven’t tried it with a pc but I’m sure it’s only meant for that. So don’t buy these if you’re trying to use a raspberry pi or an android as an emulator.

I have a lot of retro game controllers and these are built the best by far. They have a solid feel and the buttons actually feel like you pushed something. The directional pad has just the right amount of resistance and the controller itself feels exactly like the old Sega controllers. There is A LOT of crap products out there when it comes to controllers but this is really decently made.
