"The Event" a one season only TV sci-fi series (that was obviously planned for more seasons) is entertaining, scientifically believable, interesting, and captivating. Characters, main plot and numerous sub-plots are well developed and interwoven into a plausible story and action packed sequence of events all tied of course to "The Event". I sure you will enjoy and wish that the series was not canceled after just one season. And will make you wonder if this could have actually already happened?...

I am not really a tv series fan but I picked up this dvd set and I was very impressed. Some of the acting was fairly weak but overall it was a great show. It should have been returned for a second season but maybe one day Netflix will pick it up. Great show overall. Awesome job by Blair Underwood as the president.

Even though the timelines in the series tend to jump around quite a bit, I am able with the dvd series to go back and see any important facts that I may have previously missed. Couldn't keep up with this when it was on network tv. Glad that I can now.
