I bought The Blood of Lambs because I wanted to have knowledge of the thinking and motivation of a terroist. I also wanted to hear his story as to how and why he totally changed and became a Christian. I was glad to find out that it was because of the kindness and love of Christians who took him in and nurtured him after his accident. How a terrorist works to win others to their way of thinking was eye-opening. I feel that I am better armed to understand what their long term goal is- to take over the world and establish Sharia Law. It could be frightening if it were not for the fact that our God is powerful and loving. When people prayed for him, he was amazed because he and his cohorts do not pray for their enemies but rather are taught to kill and hate the "infidels". It gave me an understanding of why and what happened at the Boston marathon and how they go into the prisons, low income neighborhoods, and universities to get converts for their ideology. Killing civilians frightens everyone and they justify doing so by twisting the truth. The book was difficult to read in that so much violence and hate was reported but it is certainly a must read for anyone who wants to have insight into the mind of a terrorist. Knowledge is power. We do ourselves no good by hiding our head in the sand because of an unwillingness to face the fact that they are among us and are out to destroy. May God grant us grace and discernment.Read full review
This book is a must read. This man gives a upclose, intimate look into the mind of the extreme Muslim. It makes you think about our future world and the perils that are facing our children and grandchildren. Even though these people may be in the minority of the Muslim faith, they present a serious threat to the Christian/Jewish population. As witnessed in the 9/11 bombings, it only takes a handful of these nutjobs to throw the entire world into chaos. I only wish that our government would take this threat more seriously....you just cannot negotiate or reason with these people. They have been endoctrinated since birth. I do not think that Americans truly realize the deep-seated hatred that these people have for those of unlike faith.
great book, reading was a bit slow and confusing at first because of skipping from the past then next chapter into the future but still a great book and very touching, highly recommended for anyone, you will come away with a better understanding of the "why" and "how" muslims view the world with hatred and the importance of a strong defense against radical islam, this will certainly "wake" you from the "innocent slumber" we as Americans are so accustomed to, wake up!!
This book was a compelling read and difficult to put down! I recommend it for everyone interested in combating terrorism. Our leaders need to thoroughly read this book. Ruby in Virginia
