Good value. This movie is relevant today just as when it came out. All the actors are outstanding and the plot is engaging and satisfying to watch.

The Audio was terrible. I turned the volume up to the maximum and still had trouble hearing the movie! It would have been a great deal if the volume was not an issue.

Sir Laurence Olivier star as a 90-year-old patriarch, Loren Hardeman. He's a tycoon in the car manufacturing business. "The Betsy" is what Hardeman, Sr. wants to call his dream car since he's naming it after his beloved & beautiful great-granddaughter, Betsy (Kathleen Beller). Even though Loren Hardeman III (Robert Duvall) is already the family business's head, the senior Hardeman (Olivier) hires a former Indi race car driver, Angelo Perino (Tommy Lee Jones, baby-faced) to finish creating the world's most cost effective car. As Perino (Jones) designs the rest of the car he enjoys covert job perks besides the fortune he's making: bedding Hardeman Sr.'s beloved Betsy while simultaneously shagging Loren III's mistress (Lesley-Anne Down)! The auto industry discovers Hardeman, Sr.'s plan to outwit them with the Betsy. What follows is nothing short of attempts to sabotage Hardeman's dream. John Barry wrote the musical score. Daniel Petrie directed an underrated film with an all-star cast including Jane Alexander, Katharine Ross & Paul Rudd. "The Betsy" is based on Harold Robbins' novel.Read full review
