Bought this for my son because as an 80's child, I had lots of fun with my water powered rocket. Things sure have changed though.....rocket won't stay attached to the end of the pump and falls off. You have to put a LOT of downward pressure on the yellow collar to keep pressure building. It all comes down to poor quality and fit. I am going to try to find an older one from the 80's that had a metal pump shaft and other more robust components. This thing would never hold up to a child's use.

I had the same rocket when I was a kid, I'm now 60 bought this for my grandson, the quality is poorr plastis is thin, and the pump leaks under pressure,, it's basically a dollar store toy

After 8-10 launches it now leaks from the seam on the side and therefore doesn't keep the pressure. RESULT? It doesn't work anymore....Kids are disappointed because they loved to see it soar up in the sky...
