Great Book with Spiritual Insight.
Is the content compelling: Absolutely! It is a prayer by an obscure person in the lineage from Judah to King David who prayed that God would bless him, enlarge his territory, and keep him safe from harm by the evil one. It is found in 1 Chronicles 4:9-10, where it tells us that God honored this prayer. Is it a good value: A book by a Biblical scholar of Bruce Wilkinson's stature that gives us such insight into talking with God for under $10 is by the very definition of the phrase, 'a good value'. Do I recommend it: Wholeheartedly!

The Prayer of Jabez by Bruce Wilkinson
This book is on the same level of superiority as "The Purpose Driven Life" by Rick Warren. As a Christian man, I was extremely motivated by the book. At a time when many Americans are worried about the economy, the incoming administration and other issues, this book has enabled me to rise to newer levels of faith, peace and confidence in our savior, Jesus Christ. The book is written so that it flows well, is easy to read, and is one of those writings that the reader just can't put down until he is finished. It is my prayer to be able to purchase several cases of this book and distribute them to all that I know and also to overseas missions that I have worked with. I most strongly recommend this book!!! Bravo to Mr. Wilkerson for his outstanding work.

The Prayer of Jabez
I bought the book for a gift because I received it as a gift. It is one of THE BEST books I have ever read. I have been quoting the prayer since June and have seen tremendous blessings in my life. Blessings to family members, our first swimming pool, new job etc. Someone tried to break into my vehicle and was caught before they got in. So many blessings that there is not enough room to mention. The author is very easy to read and down to earth. It relates to today's world and our future for tomorrow. I challenge you to read this book and start today quoting the prayer. Do this for 30 days and just see if the windows of heaven will not be opened up for a blessing so BIG you'll hardly be able to contain it! I highly recommend this to anyone be it a new christian or a lifetime follower of our Lord and Saviour!Read full review

little book, big message!
this is an amazing book. the book i have doesnt look like any of these listed but it is by the same author so im sure it is the same. it is amazing. it was a gift from my dad and it is a little book with a big message! when i read this book i could feel the holy spirt just flowing through me! i couldnt wait to start sharing how i feel about it with others.it also has some great stories. that are easy to relate with! i totally recommend it! i was a millionare i would buy a ton of these and give them away! i think everyone should read this and start having a closer relationship with our God in heaven! this gets two thumbs up!

Jabez More Honorable Because it Wasn't His Only Prayer
This is a great little book. If you choose to read it, read the whole book. Just don't set it down and leave it and yourself hanging. It took me three sittings, but I read it all. If you stop mid book, you'll really not finish understanding the prayer of Jabez. I admire the author for suggesting that you read it more than once. It's really not that long, and easy reading if you let him talk to you and don't struggle with it. One, thing, page 25 - there is no "catch" to receiving God's blessings. No secret, just the way, the truth, and the light.
