This album is one of my long running favorites. The theme of course is War but it has all of the emotions and it is extremely passionate, and at times beautiful, like on the tracks, "Drowning Man," and "Two Hearts Beat As One." My favorite is "Drowning Man." It might be seen as a love song, or love shared as Blood between brothers. It has a very haunting essence, both music and the voices of the singers. This album gets into the underside, ugly and bloody of the conflicts of religion or politicizing that lead to war. It brings it down to the personal human level where love may be all that matters or all that survives. But aside from the moving passions of the lyrics, the music in itself is passionate and driving. Simply a classic, both the message and the music are enduring.
