Dragon's Lair is hard to find and in such good condition. I love this game and so will my fiance, I got it for his birthday coming up and know he will love it. It looks like I got it in a store its so beautiful, just amazing. Extremely satisfied with my purchase. A must have for any Dragon's Lair fan. This game is challenging though so if purchasing get it for someone that is good at video games or loves a challenge. This game is full of goofy fun, its like a grown-up video game that makes you feel like a giddy child playing it...it's good fun. I would recommend getting for any video game fan out there..c'mon its Duke the Daring trying the save the Princess from the Dragon...it does not get much better than that.
Dragon's Lair features the hero, "Dirk the Daring", attempting to rescue "Princess Daphne" from the evil dragon Singe holed up in a wizard's castle. The screen shows animated cartoon-like scenes, and the player chooses the next scene by selecting a direction or sword-action with correct timing. This game is not for everyone and is actually kinda weird but I liked it.
the game is fantastic, much better than i would have ever imagined it to be. i still remember the stand alone game that was in my neighborhood movie theater. back then a first-run movie was $1.50. !!!wow how have times changed!!! anyway, the pc version really does live up to the arcade original. and that is truly amazing. truth-be-told i can't play the game very well, but i enjoy trying to get better. it is a challenge. and isn't that the whole point of playing video games anyway.
I remember playing the arcade version as a kid and was so excited to get this. The excitement quickly vanished though. The controls and everything work fine, but the transitions between the scenes is pretty crappy and makes it hard to enjoy. I've tried every setting I could and it is just not what I was hoping for.
I was very happy with this product. It acts exactly like the original arcade game, it has the same sounds, same screens, etc. For anyone who remembers the original game, you will definitely be happy with this game.
