I WAS 70 YEARS OLD WHEN I FIRST READ THIS BOOK. I HAD TRIED TO QUIT SMOKING ON MY OWN AT LEAST 30 TO 40 TIMES WITHOUT LASTING SUCCESS. UNTIL I READ THIS BOOK, I DIDN'T UNDERSTAND THAT NICOTINE WAS AN ADDICTION RATHER THAN A BAD HABIT. FROM THE PROPER PERSPECTIVE, QUITTING IS ACTUALLY EASY! I HAD BEEN BLAMING MYSELF FOR BEING TOO WEAK TO BREAK THE HABIT, RATHER THAN SEEING NICOTINE AS THE PROBLEM, AND MYSELF, THE ADDICT. THE FIRST STEP IN SOLVING A PROBLEM IS TO CLEARLY IDENTIFY THE PROBLEM. THAT STEP HAD BEEN MISSING IN MY PRIOR ATTEMPTS TO QUIT. SO, IF YOU LOOK AT IT IN THE SAME LIGHT AS ALCOHOL ADDICTION, YOU UNDERSTAND THAT YOU CAN NEVER HAVE ANOTHER PUFF, JUST AS AN ALCOHOLIC CAN NEVER HAVE ANOTHER DRINK. This book has helped me! I am smoking since 1999, after I read this book. Previous therapy with nicotine patches and nicotine gum have failed on me. During the reading of Allen Carr's book has given me smoking was no longer tasted. But he insisted until the end of the book to quit smoking. Since then I have not touched a cigarette more. It must be all but completely clear that you should never touch a cigarette!!! Your head must have the will! Allen Carr, one takes his statements fully, since he himself is a very heavy smoker (chain smoker) was. He knew from what he said and wrote. By the way, if you were to be failed after the first reading, then the book begins again from scratch. Your will must join! You create it anyway? Good luck and have a smoke-free time!
It works, at first I didn't think a book would make me quit a bad habit that has been stuck with me for 10 years, but it did..and it also proved to me how strong of an influance a book can have kon a parson!!

READ THE BOOK AND STOP SMOKING. This book is very helpful in putting the right thoughts at the front of your mind so your armed when you make the right decision and quite smoking.
