I nice little prepper rig. Compact and low current but can have big rig performance. Can also be modified for Amateur operation. Very versatile and compact. Downside is hardwired mic but can be easily ported to a mic or din plug. I think the average radio is around 50 to 60 dollars with crystals but can be modified reasonably for your application whether it’s ham op, crystal CB as intended, yor modified VFO VCO operation. Selected tested and working units in unless you have a bonafide rig doc ! ENJOY.
