This book contains nice photos of numerous crystals and information on their mineral composition, MOHS hardness, etc. It's a good reference book if you want to know this information about various crystals. The only thing it's lacking is detailed information about the crystals. The book is out of print and hard to obtain, so I'm glad I have it in my library.

I wanted a crystal book that told the specific healing properties of each crystal, & also how to go about doing what was necessary to accomplish this, as a new comer to crystals, I needed to know this about each crystal, also how to cleanse them & why, how to store them, & work with them for meditating, & I was not satisfied that this book would do that for me. The pictures were good, color description was okay, & places where they came from was in the book, also hardness, mineral content also was included,so I guess it depends on what you intend to do with the book's information.
