The ultimate insider "whistleblower". The Author has much more to lose than most socially. There is no higher position in his field than his and nobody is in a better position than he to do it. It is a terrifying and well-written expose of the out-of-control epidemic that is literally destroying cohesive society. Terrifying? In more ways than one. Succinctly written and unarguable and second, even more frightening, because it isn't the next super-selling "Da Vinci Code" - it has gone nowhere. Understandably...... Whoever you are, please buy it, read it and pass it on or at least talk about it.
Anyone who works in the mental health field should read this book. Dr, Frances clearly makes his case for how the mental health field has gone from treating those with serious mental illnesses to a profession that has turned many of the stresses and strains of living into psychiatric disorders. There is a drug being sold for any malaise in life. We are slowly losing normal because every stressor in life has a psychiatric diagnosis and a drug to cure it.
