Offers a lot of info contrary to popular belief. Says basically need to eat low carb minus smoked meats and limited red meat plus whole grains, beans and fresh fruit. Says sugar is main culprit. Artificial sweeteners are even worse. Vetos most of the chemicals used to process food. The book makes a lot of sense. Tried to find food items he suggested, local health food store didn't carry them. Can make this work with food from supermarket but is very expensive. i.e. no farm raised fish- need wild or frozen. I think the manufacturers of foods need to make better choices for all of us. He is probably ahead of his time. Says studies show real butter better for your heart than "I Can't Believe It's Not Butter," etc.. Diabetes and Heart big boys don't agree. Jury still out, we'll see....

First I looked at a copy at the library, and decide to buy a copy for myself. It is a very informative, and I believe truthful concept of what we can do for our bodies to restore hormones to the correct levels..blood etc. Several findings from many Doctors different books say the same thing...sugar, white flour, msg, artifical sweetners, bad carbs all change our bodies..weaking for thyroid, cancer, blood disorders, high fat is not from good fats etc. This is to restore your body...I am going to use it to try. I highly recommend to seek a way to repair, restore through eating good foods instead of prescription drugs.
