It seems to be well-made. I was a little apprehensive about the part that went under the mattress , but after receiving the product and installing it, it's certainly robust enough for me. It will hold a medium or a large auto snugly. I agree with the other reviewers about autos with below-the-frame lasers: they probably won't fit. The combination of a regular sized slide with a laser unit below is too wide to fit through the opening in the bottom of the holster.
