An awesome film in every respect. The plot was real. World War II. This movie was World War II, in all it's terrible realities. However, it often showed American GI's with compassion; deeply caring for one another.

In the 50s there was "Picture For a Sunday Afternoon"movie show, channel 11 or 9?,every Sunday for years, seemed like A Walk in The Sun Was on every other week.Richard Conte (Rivera) made the movie for me.This films begining ,in the night scens ,was a little dark, but the rest of the movie was good. Many people especially the new and young of our country ,dont realize how many of our young were killed in this war. My 19 year old uncle Petie was killed on the Hancock aircraft carrier 1944.This movie depicted the infantrymen accurately.War IS hell.If members of Congress had their children serving in the armed forces ,you'd see less fighting involving our troops. The Japs killed my uncle ,and I'm driving a Toyota.God forgive me.Time heals all wounds(sometimes).Back to the DVD.It was entertaining for me ,but I know some people will say it was too slow.So just relax.Read full review
