This is Book 5 in the (Abram's Daughters) series. As I have read more books by this author, I believe that she has a twofold purpose in her books. The first is to provide interesting fictional Christian stories about the Amish. The second purpose is to provide(I believe) stories that Amish readers can relate to but also be exposed to Biblical truths about their own faith that they may not have thought much about before, and maybe open up their hearts to the whole truth of God's Word.

Mrs. Lewis writes incredible books, and it is a privilege and joy to read her series! I purchased a set for myself, and could not wait for each successive book to be published. The life of the Amish seems to be portrayed very well, the characters are like the best friends within pages of beginning each book. My only dislike in this series has been in waiting for the next one to come out! I correspond with many people in prison through my church's prison ministry, and often purchase gently used Christian books to share with them, or send my own copies when I have finished them. The Revelation, and other books in this series, are ones that I did not want to give up my own copy, and purchased it as a surprise for a young lady who also loves Beverly Lewis' writing!
I got this book because I had read the first four books of Abram's .Daughter series. I enjoyed them so much that I got Book #5 to read more of the story. The Revelation has so many revelations that were revealed in the book. Kept me reading to see how it would end. Very good stories.

"Oh what a tangled web we weave!" may be an old cliche, but it sure fits "the tangle" woven so well by Beverly Lewis in The Revelation. When one man,the local doctor of the town and surrounding Amish community, tells a lie to cover his son's sin, he sets into motion a chain of events that nearly destroys three families. If it were not for those that believe in truth and The One that gave us the Truth, all would be lost. Lewis has captured a snapshot of everyman and everywoman in this book: just how far we will go to cover up our faults; but, thankfully how far we will go to forgive. Read this wonderful book. It will do your soul gut!
Beverly Lewis is one of the best authors. Clean wholesome, inspirational reading, and I love reading about the Amish. We are planning on visiting an Amish Community in Illinois in the near future, and in Beverly Lewis books they explain the language, and I am trying to learn the words. On the pronunciation, I will have to wait till I hear them, but I am trying to collect all of her books. I have started library, and I wouldn't mind my children or grandchildren reading the literature that I have for it. God Bless
