You can't judge a book by its topic. This book is almost uniformly awful. It is a brainless hodgepodge of almost every kooky conspiracy of the 20th century. For example: FDR provoked Japan into attacking Pearl Harbor so he could go to war against Hitler and save the "world order". Tiny problem here: Hitler declared war on the U.S. The whole book is full of stuff like that. My grandfather's generation used to pass around the story the people had seen FDR piloting a Japanese warplane during the attack on Pearl Harbor. How he got back to Washington in time to give his "day which will live in infamy" address to Congress the next morning must be a HATE question. This one isn't in there but it wouldn't change the tone of the book if it was. What valid and interesting points the author does make are degraded by the environment provided by the rest of the book. I was interested in hearing Putin's side of the story, but what I got was "through the looking glass" into toot toot land. Read full review
