A great beginner book, possibly even for seasoned readers as a touch up, follow-through explanations or as a reference book - a keeper. I've had several copies all marked up, underlined and referred back to as greater knowledge was attained. Not the end-all summary of everything ever known, but a true asset in the knowledge base. Whenever I read something new & different I always refer back to Waite-Smith. Read up on how these tarot cards were developed and the lives of its author/illustrator pair and you'll appreciate both the book and the cards ever-more!
