This new buddy of mine, Rossif Sutherland, has a penchant for making low budget films (this one done to help a Canadian filmmaker) about "people trying to get a fresh start in life". He doesn't have to do this, but then, he doesn't have to do anything, so he does what he wants to do. This follow up to his other film "Poor Boys Game" (an EXCELLENT movie - see it!) is a bit lighter, and features his illustrious dad (a truly great human) Donald. What more can I say, if you like upbeat, soulful films, you'll like this one! Rossif is more of a mellow guy, than his dad and half-bro, Kiefer, and his product reflects that. The Sutherland's are my favorite showbiz family! You could spend a lifetime watching all the product made by them. A Special THANKS to the three of them (they know why)!
A poor script, poor directing, and poor acting - This film has it all. Actor Donald Sutherland apparently realized it was a dog and he phoned it in. The rest of the actors were wooden and appeared embarrassed to be participating in something so thin You keep waiting for it to put some meat on the bones, and it never does - just limping to a blessedly quick ending that puts it out of its misery. No loss in missing this one.
