Very entertaining story for the whole family. The major roles include kids of all ages and the parent so it's a fun story and everyone can identify with a character. Great effects, even for an older movie( yeah Spielberg) and most of the plot deals with the interactions of the characters with ET and each other, so fun even for those not normally into SciFi.

My daughter saw this little creature and fell in love with him, and course the whole movie. Now that she has a four yr. old, he of course wants E.T. The movie is so cute, you can't help falling in love with it.
