what does one write about a model? its like a puzzle. pieces to be assembled to make the project complete. it is very much like the one very seldom seen the the sixties spy series, the man from u.n.c.l.e. to the best of my knowledge it has all the secret spy gadgets that were on the car used in the show, right down to the rocket launchers in the gull wing doors. i suppose you had to really get into the television series to appreciate this one. i once heard both napoleon and illya complain about having to film the episodes with this car in it as it was extremely hot and uncomfortable for the actors. just a bit of trivia for you.

Whether or not you are a fan of the very popular 1960's secret agent (pre-Bond) U.N.C.L.E. series with Robert Vaughan and David McCallum, this car is a great design concept vehicle to have in your collection - either built up or in it's virgin state. I have some of the original 1970's models and this new re-issue does the original justice, plus it includes some great support material including a fabulous full color multi-page brochure on the cars history. This sportscar was also presented on the spin-off TV program, Girl from U.N.C.L.E. starring Stephanie Powers. It's an easy build and if you take your time, you can really improve on it with some modeling techniques for adding extra details. I purchased separately an etched metal add-on for those details also available on eBay - just search for it... there's only one maker so it shouldn't be hard to find. They detail kit sells for about $20-25 and is worth it if you really like to get some realism into your model, particularly interior cabin details.
