Excellent series! Much better than many movies made for the big screen. Acting, directing and story are all superb. A somber, violent piece of history that depicts what can happen when man's violent nature can be allowed to move to the forefront of his thoughts and actions. One of the best.

found that getting into the final segments a bit confusing but after 3rd attempt was able to finish watching the entire movie. the dvds come in 2 discs & to finish seeing the entire show one has to re enter the table of contents on the second disc.was a very good & informative trip in time especialy the special features on the history of the principles.the bluray discs are as usual no better than digital as far as I can see. I do have an HD t.v.could see no appreciable difference.
