Game Description This is an excellent Q-Bert , with all the nuances and characters of the original game. Manuever your little Q dude around a pyramid of lighted blocks. When you step on a block, it changes color. Change all the block tops to the right color and you will move on to the next level. Sound easy? No way! The game control takes a bit getting used to and Mr. Coily (the purple snake), has a homing device that steers him right at Q-Bert. You will definitely want to adjust the key controls to suit your preferences. Q Bert Game Tips * The best way to defeat Mr. Coily is by using the flying saucer pads. When Coily gets close, jump on a pad to head for the top of the pyramid while Coily jumps off into nowhere. * Utilize the first couple seconds at the start of the board or after dying to jump on as many blocks as possible. * Anything that is green is helpful for Q-Bert. You want to touch green objects and stay away from everything else.Read full review

I bought this because in the 1980's, it was one of my favorite video games. This edition has the original, the 3-D Version, Adventure, and 2 player simultaneous. The classic mode plays exactly like the 80's version, with friends, foes, and the time freeze ball. The adventure mode presents a wide variety of geometric board configurations, offering great replay value. Also, different power-ups appear throughout the Adventure and Head-to-Head games. I love everything about Q-Bert, and I think fans of 80's arcade hits will too.
