This thing was more clever than I thought it would be. I couldn't understand how it could light up or move much without batteries and then read a blog about it and found out that used multiple illusions to make it work. The oven has a windup dial that when turned, pulls back a red tinted window that lets in more light through the roof of the oven. That red light next reflects off of the reflective surface in the oven to make it look as if it were really baking something. On top of that, the original set would come a 'Magic Muffin' that would add to the illusion by being pressed down and then slowly rising to make it like it was baking! (I highly suggest getting what we call 'squishies,' to recreate this)
