This is an excellent product to use on vintage/ antique cast iron. Once the old rust is buffed off, then it is washed and sun dried, the paste can be put on easily (I recommend using rubber gloves as it is a bit messy). I left it on for an hour before buffing it to the shine desired. The iron still looks old, but well cared for. I collect cauldrons and they look museum quality for showing.

It is polish; don't expect it to cover major mars. Goes on well enough. Maybe could build up over time to hide major defects. Not indicated whether can use for porcelain cast iron stoves.
