I've played many irons, including callaway x-16s, x-18s, nikes, ping, and these clubs definitely feel the best. they are an excellent set for low-mid 'cappers. they look great at address, have lots of control, and the finish is very durable too. These are the type of clubs that I can use for 10 years or more. I'm not sure why taylormade stopped producing these irons, but probably because their marketing people didn't like that it didn't have R7 stamped on it somewhere...
played this game for over 30 years hit a variety of clubs these are up there on the top three a great design a Ferrari of a club, forgiving, workable and confident look at address butter feel when hit on the sweet spot which is hard to miss and if you do it doesn't have the harsh feel of a mishit. My hat is off to the designer of these clubs, the best part is that it is an affordable club 3-pw sets going for less than 200.00 on EBAY. A teaching professional friend recommended these to me and they run a close race with the ping g20 irons I currently play now.
As much as I would have liked to get these the seller mailed them to the wrong address. I was replacing some stolen clubs for a friend who was trying to qualify for the Texas State Open. We ended up finding him another set that he was able to play with, missed the cut by 2 strokes sadly. I can safely recommend these due to them being the same set that was stolen from us. I have hit this set before you get a nice carry and are able to work the ball very well.
The design of the TM RAC LT 2 irons for low to mid handicap golfers remains superb regardless of their 2005 issue date. The RAC vibration strip works remains unmatched for feel in a durable stainless steel club. The lighter weight RAC insert distributes mass for heel toe perimeter weighting. The thinner top line frames the ball well and the mildly over sized blade adds confidence.
Takes a little time to get used to the lightness, but gets better every time I use them
