These are great little radios. I've used them on several gigs with no problem. They have a very cheap plasticy build, but that hasn't been a problem. They get the job done. TIP! Remove the batteries between usage. The radios seem to drain the batteries even when turned off.

Longer lasting batteries. I am going to try to buy rechargables I need to have it on all night long so I can be able to answer when my apartment friend who is 92 needs to reach me in an emergency without having to dial my phone number. We had hoped we could just use the 2-way radios to do that. But the first night we used it batteries went low and started making noise and that upset her. Might be fine for other applications but this is not what I needed.

We bought these walkie talkies to use on a cruise we took with our adult daughter who was staying in a separate cabin. They are easy to use and small enough to stick in a pocket. Highly recommend them for this type of use. The down side is that they must always stay on because you never know when the other person is trying to reach you so be sure to take extra batteries!
The radios appeared cheaply made, and the instructions on removing the battery cover were not clear. However, they provide a good clear signal from what I've seen so far. Very good value.
