Was buying a mount for my motorcycle every year priced anywhere from $12 to $25, never fully feeling confident about putting my $700 dollar phone in it but this year decided to try something a little different spend a little extra and see if Ram mounts were worthy of the hype..... They are, I confidently put my phone in the mount everywhere I ride and it literally never moves. I just wish I had gotten it earlier, Ive wasted about $150 bucks buying one every year, when i could have spent $55 and gotten a good mount.

As with all other Ram products, this one is easy to use, works well with my other 1" ball mounts, certainly can hold securely a large phone or Garmin device. I have mounted this to a Ram Can Mount that tightly fits into one of my console cup holders when needed, and stored in the console when not in use. Great product, highly recommended.

This clamp is a beast. The phone doesn't budge. You don't even need to use that rubber strap. I've used a Samsung Note 3 and an LG G2. It fits larger phones really well. I have a droid mini (yes pretty old phone) but it wouldn't fit it well. Same with iPhone 5s.

I used this to mount a Droid Turbo with an Otterbox cover to my sport touring motorcycle. My mount was at the top of the fork triple tree at the end of a 2" ball mount adapter. The phone was held securely and I never worried about it falling or popping out of the Ram mount. I used the tether during the first part of my trip and found that it wasn't needed for road use. I traveled over 9 miles of washboard gravel road and the phone was never in danger of coming dislodged. YMMV if you mount on the end of your handlebar or other location... It worked very well for me.
