I bought this for my 10yo daughter in 4th grade. She is an advanced reader. I read a lot of the books after she does because we like the same genre. Angie Sage is a very good author and keeps you turning pages. Her first book Magyk, tells the story of Septimus Heap and what happens to him. Flyte carries on with the plot. Angie Sage's writing is quick and easy to read but encourages my daughter to expand her vocabulary. Overall this is a great book.
My son is 11 and he was in the middle of reading Artimas Fowl. We were waiting for the third book to show. He started the Septimas Heap and dosen't want to go back to the Artimas Fowl series until he finishes Septimas Heap. I can hear the excitement in his voice when he is telling me about whats happening in the story. My son loves the series. it was worth buying. Dawn
I bought the book for my son because the library at his school could not keep enough copies of it in.He loves the series and this one was no exception.Ms Sage knows how to keep the action rolling and keep young readers guessing-crfry
i like it cause the first one there is a lot of un answered questions, and this one opick ups right where the last one left off. well done angie sage
I really like this book series. It is targeted to a younger audience but is still interesting enough to keep adults entertained as well.
