This is a 3 episode program the BBC made in celebration of Queen Elizabeth II's Diamond Jubilee (60 years on the throne). The series was made over a year and a half and looked at various parts of the Queen's life and reign. I am an Anglophile and I love lots of stuff British Royal Family. The queen's children and grandchildren were vital parts of this program mini-series. I felt it well worth the used price I paid for it. The normal everyday person probably has no clue about all that Queen Elizabeth does "behind the scenes". With this jubilee, she has known all the US Presidents who have served since Harry S. Truman and has survived the services of 10 different Prime Ministers since Winston Churchill. I got the sense that this woman really loves what she does and has no intention of giving it up until she dies. She has now surpassed the reign of her great great grandmother Queen Victoria, tho only other British monarch to have celebrated her Diamond Jubilee. Let's just watch and see how many more years she serves and keeps her promise to the "imperial family, unto which we all belong."Read full review
I hate writing reviews , however this DVD is worth giving it a wrap . I recommend it to all royal lovers as a must to see .
