This is the greatest version of the greatest KOF ever made!! It is my opinion and the opinion of many KOF fans that 98' is the best King of Fighters of all time. This version is the best way to experience this amazing 2d fighter!! First, you get the entire roaster of 98 plus all the characters missing from the earlier titles and alternate version of some of the existing line up, making the amount of fighters huge!! Next, you get extra levels and filters to improve the visuals if you like. Finally, you get original arcade version to enjoy for arcade purest!! All this for an original retail price of $19.99!! If you like SNK/Capcom 2d fighting games the only way to lose is NOT to buy it!!!

What i like about kof '98 um is they remade it in a very nice way with new stages and good looking gameplay plus they even add alot of characters like geese howard, mr.big, wolfgang krauser, eiji kisaragi, kasumi todo, and especially bosses from '96 and '97. But what i don't like about it is they removed the blood from this game it dosen't stop me from playing it i decide to buy king of fighters '98 um because it's the coolest game to play for the ps2 nuff said about it.
This is one of those games that get a lot of praise which is why I bought it. It's not as easy to play as the new kof games and is pretty hard even on lower difficulty which gets kinda frustrating. It's still an amazing game if you take the time to master it
