Truman's Presidency covered the end of WWII and beginning of the Cold War. He approved use of the atomic bomb, and instituted the Berlin Airlift. His administration concluded the NATO treaty, recognized the state of Israel, and founded the United Nations. This second volume of his memoirs covers these topics and more in 32 chapters, roughly in chronological order.Though some topics are less relevant today, Truman's view of history remains worth reading.
